Have form auto select field

Hi everyone!


In a few of my forms I have a field called "  Event Type " .  Then I have about 10 different styles of events.

Is it possible for me to set this to pre select one of the choices and put the field on hide so the client cant choose and it is auto selected for my records.

???

Any ideas/help greatly appreciated
