CRMSDK tag problem

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction in regards to CRMSDK tags.

I'm fairly new to NetSuite and have been building and testing new email templates for my employer. I've been using CRMSDK tags but only with limited success. I'm using the tags "NLFIRSTNAME" and "NLCOMPANYNAME." I do see the first name in the salutation, however, the company name always remains blank.

Any ideas why the NLCOMPANYNAME tag does not work for me? All my test contacts are assigned to a test company/customer so I'd think it would have to display something.
