Average Exchange Rates

I know we can change the Current, Average, and Historical Exchange rates for reporting purposes using the Consolidated Exchange Rates and that we can edit the current daily exchange rates by adding new ones in the currency exchange rates view and that these are the ones that are used for transactions and revaluations.  However, is there a way to change the average rate used by the transactions?  The way NetSuite calculates average rates isn't GAAP so we have to populate the consolidated exchange rates with the GAAP rate.  However, since the transactions don't use the consolidated rates, this results in
