Unblock Elimination Sub Accounts

The finance department here needs existing accounts in the elimination subsidiaries to be temporarily unblocked so the opening balances for 2016 can be set to zero.
This might seem odd but this is triggered by an unsuccessful year closing in 2015   .. in the end they closed the year outside of NetSuite.
So repairs are now needed in NetSuite's numbers, hence the need for unblocking.

Can somebody advice on how to unblock them for the finance department?
