Record Type for parent of "note"
Hi -
I'm working on a script to email the details of new notes when they are created. I need to pull some details from the parent record of the note (ie Sales Order or sometimes Job), but there doesn't seem to be any documented way to determine what the record type of the parent is, which I believe I'll need in order to load additional information.
I get can the record ID by using the "entity" "transaction" or "record" fields, depending on what type of record the parent is. However, "recordtype" field only returns a value for custom records - it returns nothing if the parent is a standard transaction or entity.
