nlapiGetCurrentLineItemValue in ver 2007 returns null

The client side function nlapiGetCurrentLineItemValue('item','item',1) is not working correctly in my 2007 beta test account.  The majority of my client side scripts are using this function which is only returning a null value.

Is anyone else having this issue?
