We intend to sell music files that have been created by a user. With each sale, we need to post the amount we're paying that user (for the right to sell their work) to our cost of goods account. Unfortunately, there's no COGS account associated with non-inventory items (or download items), so there doesn't appear to be a way to get this amount to post automatically whenever we sell this item. I'm trying to find a way to do this via scripting. Does anyone know if this is even possible? If so, where do I start?
