Pick value from search result

Hi,

I have created a saved search on transaction and pulling the total amount field by grouping it together. If I try to get this amount using script then I have to load the invoice record and then loop through each item to find the right item and pick the amount.

Is there any quicker way to pick it straight from this search result rather than loading each record? 

Any clue or help will be appreciated.
