NetSuite Platform unable to handle long variables

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:04PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 7 comments

All,

I am working on a Suitelet that takes forever to load and have narrowed down the problem to the use of variables (and arrays) containing a lot of data.

To help support understand my issue, I showed them how the following code takes over 10 seconds to execute as a Suitelet, while it takes a fraction of a second to execute on my browser:

 function testSuitelet(request, response){       var html = '';       for (var i = 0; i<5000; i++) {            html+= '123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012 ';       }       response.write('hello ');  }

Support replied that this seemed like an acceptable time to execute the code and directed me to the documentation. Can someone help me do a sanity check?

Howdy, Stranger!
