Determine Record Type (Record Internal ID)
I'm trying to do something dynamic when in VIEW on a record. This means I can't use nlapiGetFieldValue('entity') to get the internalID of the customer field on the transaction... I'd also like to write this script once and have it execute over many different types of transactions...
What I CAN do is nlapiGetFieldValue('id') and get the ID of the transaction - so I can then nlapiLookupField(XXX, id,'entity')); (or even better load the record) - BUT - here's the thing...
Does anyone know of a way - while in VIEW in the UI to get the record internal ID - not it's number - but is it a salesorder or a opportunity or a invoice or a creditmemo... you get the picture...
