Create Work Order with tie back to Sales Order

Anyone know if it is possible to create a Work Order from script, mimicking the behavior of NetSuite when clicking the Work Order link on a line item in the Sales Order?  That link points here:

<etc>/accounting/transactions/workord.nl?soid=1328&soline=4&specord=T&entity=1631&assemblyitem=16220&quantity=1

I need to be able to use nlapiCreateRecord('workorder', <etc>) and tie the Work Order back to the Sales Order line item.
