encrypting a PDF via nlapiPrintRecord() ?

I'm looking for a way to create an encrypted PDF (password required to open it) from a Netsuite record. 

The specific use case for the task at hand is employee paychecks so that they could be emailed with a fair bit of security.  But this could lead to other tasks in the future. 

I don't see anything in the documentation indicating that the nlapiPrintRecord() function has any support for PDF encryption. 

Any suggestions?
