Customizing Customer Center Home Page

We are looking to add a link to a record on the home page of the customer center so when a customer logs in they can quickly navigate to the desired page. Where is the customization of the customer center located? We can add tabs and put links into those tabs, but we cannot find a way to put links onto the Customer Center tab.
