Reference checkout - Full Name field not populating from First and Last name.

We've got the reference cart set up and checkout technically works.  There is an issue with the Full Name field on the address page.  Should it not auto-fill from the values in the First and Last Name fields on the initial registration page?  It seems odd to me that customers would be asked to enter their names twice during the registration process.
