Custom Record Sublists

I currently have a sublist of custom records on a tab off of the opportunity field.  Since NetSuite only allows a certain number of fields to show, I have to drill down into records from time to time.  Is there anyway to drill down instead of pressing EDIT???  I am looking for a VIEW only option.  These users have the permission to change the records, but still would prefer a VIEW option.

Can anyone help?
