Validating field value is unique across other similar records of the same record type
I am looking to add an integer field to a custom record. Let's call it "Object Number".
If I enter 3 records...
RecordID: 1, Object Number: 55555
RecordID: 2, Object Number: 1243551
RecordID: 3, Object Number: 1515132
On RecordID: 4, if the user enters 55555, is there a native way in NetSuite to make sure that value is unique?
I can write script to query the other records; however, I wanted to see if anyone had a creative solution without custom suitescript.
Thanks in advance.
