Linking two custom fields

Hello,

I created two different fields(book available field and returned field) on two different custom record forms, named 'book record' and 'rental record' respectively.

Is it possible to link these two fields such that on checking the 'returned box field', the 'availability check box, is automatically unchecked(all books are available by default).
