Push line item field value from Sales order to fulfillment

While fulfilling the order we need to push a column field from the current SO to fulfillment record.

For example - the committed quantity of each item gets populated in quantity field automatically while fulfilling an order. Same case for description field.

Is it possible to push a custom column field value to fulfillment?

Can any one suggest something?
