Record to populate additional screen information based on dropdown value

Can someone please assist me in the following?
I am trying to create a record which will have one editable field of a dropdown list.

The user will choose a value in the dropdown list and the page should automatically refresh to populate the additional information of custom fields.
These custom field will have a value of a dynamic saved search.

I have tried it using my Sandbox environment but when I select the employee. The other fields do not load.
Is there any information to read on such a development?
