Setting a native hyperlink field to blank on a Sales Order

Hi All,

At the moment I am trying to figure out how to set the native hyperlink field id = 'createpo' on a sales order line item to blank. I've tried client script validate line, client field changed as well as user event script before submit but nothing has worked yet. Any suggestions?
