Can someone provide me with an example of how to filter zip codes

15000 to 16899  ???

My current search is structured as follows however the search times out.

(( zip starts with 15 ) or
( zip starts with 160 ) or
( zip starts with 161 ) or
( zip starts with 162 ) or
( zip starts with 163 ) or
( zip starts with 164 ) or
( zip starts with 165 ) or
( zip starts with 166 ) or
( zip starts with 167 ) or
( zip starts with 168 ))
