Saved Search alert when record created

I thought this would be simple but I'm stumped!

I want to send an email to a lead when their record is created and ONLY when it's created.  So I shuffled over to the Saved Search editor and quickly realized that I can't use the field update system for Date Created.

Now I'm stuck, how to trigger a search when a record is created?
