Date Formula to Compare Date and Posting Period?

I'm new to using formulas in saved searches, and I need to create a list of transactions that may have been entered incorrectly- specifically bills and journals.
Is there a formula or something that I can use that will compare the posting period to the transaction date and only return those that aren't equal?
