Sales by Vendor

Hi, I have tried using reports for sales by vendor, but as you cannot set a 'vendor' footer filter it is not very good for us.. we have many vendors, many items. I guess I can do a custom report for each vendor but what a massive PITA.

So I am trying to get a good search working.

Filters; preferred vendor & date, this is simple.

Then I need: item code, item description, item $ sold, item Qty sold, items on hand.

All pretty easy except 'items on hand'.

Help?
