CASE WHEN to_char({trandate},'MM/YYYY')=to_char({today},'MM/YYYY') THEN {amount} ELSE 0 END)   
this will get me MTD Sales

CASE WHEN to_char({trandate},'YYYY')=to_char({today},'YYYY') THEN {amount} ELSE 0 END)   
this will get me YTD Sales

how do i get last month's sale??
if today is Jan 20th, 2015, then i want to get December 2014 sales.
