simple commission calculation

How can I get the system setup so that for a given item the system calculates 3% of the price for salesperson1 and 4% of the price for salesperson2.  I have team selling turned on and both salespeople attached to the Invoice.  I have setup the plans and schedules and enabled commission on the individual reps.  I just dont see anything being calculated.  Also, I am not sure what percentage goes in the contribution percentage as the commission rates are setup on the schedules.

Any help would be appreciated.
