Fining a Commission Transaction

I need to locate the Commission Transaction that authorized a commission for a specific invoice.  I thought I could accomplish this with a saved search:

case# 892909 - How to search for Commission transactions that paid on a specific Invoice



Turns out that is not possible.

I then checked the Commission Overview report.  I see the invoice in question, I see the amount authorized but there is no way to see what Commission Transaction it was authorized on.  I called support and they said it's an enhancement.

This should not be this difficult.  I have an invoice and I want to see the authorization record, this should be dead simple.
