Show Quantity sold on Item Record

Does anyone know if there is any way to show the quantity sold over the past rolling 30, 60, and 90 days while viewing an item (ie without having to customize a report). Perhaps a new subtab can be created called "historical sales" and under that display a saved search/report for just the item in question?
