Merge Inventory items

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to merge inventory items?
I found an item that is duplicated and I need to delete one of them and give the information of the other one to the one i'll keep.
I can´t delete it so easy because it has so many transactions and it is referred by so many of them and both are part of assemblies... so I thought about merging it.

Is it possible to merge items?
If it isn't... can be possible to do it?
