Someone help with Inventory Reporting

OK, I am again (or still) at wits end with trying to run an extremely simple report on inventory.

I want to run a report which show my current inventory on hand, the value, AND the serial numbers BY location. I have two locations.

I've tried every report and (of course still) the serial number tracking is completely messed.

Here's the example. I have 2 widget Y's in location A. I have 6 widget Y's in location B. I've run every report for inventory and I get the correct count for each location but a list of 8 serial numbers aside each in the report. In other words 8 serial numbers next to location A item and the same 8 serial numbers next to location B item. I've used every serial/lot number column available and none are correct. Yet I can go to the item record and view exactly what I have for serial numbers for each location. I
