Report/Search needed for Purchased Serialized Items
I am unable to figure out how to produce a report or saved search that shows the Serial Numbers of previously purchased items (that are no longer in our inventory). I need to be able to search the report for a serial number and determine its original purchase date.
For instance, we have Product Z that was sold to a customer. Product Z contains Item X which is serialized and comes with a 2-year warranty when purchased. The customer ships back Product Z to our company for service and it is determined that Item X (with serial number 12345) is defective. I want to run a report/search where I can search for serial number 12345 for Item X. That report will then tell me the purchase date (item receipt date) I am looking for.
