Task reminder pop-up not working

Is there a reason that the pop-up task reminder is not working. I am using Google Chrome, I have turned off the pop-up blocker , I checked the timezone on my computer and in NS. I have not gotten a pop-up reminder for the task I created. Can anyone gice me some insight as to why this does not work?
