Replacing MailChimp with NetSuite Campaigns?

Hey all,

In an effort to cut costs, management is convinced that there is a reasonable expectation that NetSuite has the ability to do what MailChimp does internally...

We have a list of around 150k that is split between 3 separate domains (3 separate companies under the umbrella).

Has anyone gone away from a service like MailChimp to simply using NetSuite as their ESP? Is this a bad idea? I keep finding solutions for the two to work together but not replace the service.

I'm seeing a ton of manual work but not seeing the total "this is why you can't/shouldn't do it".
