UPDATE: Upcoming Changes to SuiteAnalytics Connect Return Values and String Types
UPDATE: Upcoming Changes to SuiteAnalytics Connect Return Values and String Types |
As an updated reminder, a software version upgrade will occur on all SuiteAnalytics Connect servers on August 16[SUP]th[/SUP] 2018. No change will be done on SuiteAnalytics Connect servers on the previously announced date (August 9[SUP]th[/SUP] 2018). The upgrade will occur for sandbox and production accounts, and no user intervention will be required. Be aware that the upgrade will change the data types, precision, and display sizes for the return values of some functions and columns with string types used in SuiteAnalytics Connect. Changes resulting from the upgrade include the following: [LIST] [*]All numeric functions that now return INTEGER values, after the upgrade will return BIGINT values. This change will increase the display size of the return values from 11 to 20, and the precision from 10 to 19. Affected functions include count(), abs(), pow(), ceil(), floor(), etc. [*]The return values for all string functions such as substring() and left() have display sizes and precision equal to the resulting string size, instead of the original column size. For example, substring(col, 1, 30) returns a value with a precision and display size of 30. |
