How do I show sourced field in report?

We have an End User field on our transactions.  We'd like to be able to report on the End User's state when running financial reports?

The report builder only lets us see fields that have stored values.  If I make a sourced field that doesn't store the value, the field is not selectable for a report.

Anyone come up with a workaround for this?
