Numerical Internal IDs of built-in fields?

Hi,

Our developers working on an integration, and they are asking internal ID of built-in fields. I pointed out that those fields have string IDs (e.g. field "Website" has internal ID "url"), however they insisted that the API is requiring both string IDs and numerical ones. Is this the case? I can easily find internal IDs of custom fields and list values, but I am kind of confused about finding numerical internal IDs of built-in fields.
