How to update ON HOLD and Available field for a new Inventory Item in Netsuite.

From Netsuite created a new Inventory Item. When trying to add it to sales order then, I am seeing

ON Hand and Available as 0 for this Item. How to updated the ON HOLD and Available field value

for newly created items.
