Custom Segment Delete or Inactivate Issue

Hi all,

I am trying to implement Custom Segments.  However, I made a mistake and created a custom segment that needs to be deleted or inactivated.  However, no matter what I do, it will not allow me to do either.  I just get "Label is already used by a custom field" or the dependent records error.

Does anyone know why this may be?  It essentially won't let me do anything including renaming or changing any of the values.  I tried to delete it just minutes after I created it, so I don't think any workflows/searches were created with the custom segment so I'm stumped.
