Revenue Schedule - Custom Field

Hello,

Has anyone successfully added a custom field to a revenue recognition schedule? I don't see it as an option for transaction body field because the schedule is not a transaction. And revenue schedule is not an option under other custom fields. Haven't tried scripting yet, but the prospects don't look promising.
