Changing Commission Rate on certain Product Classes

Hi

We are looking for a solution, preferably not scripting, for a rather unique situation.

We have one sales rep who earns a different commission percentage on a specific product class, and his GP% on this product class is higher than the normal % on the price list.

Once he has closed a deal and we have converted the quote to sales order, is anyone aware of a way to increase the margins in bulk and not sales order by sales order.

As I mentioned I know it could be done with scripting, but I am looking to see if it can be done before we go down that path.
