Populate WBS from Estimate Items

Is anyone aware of a way to get items from an Estimate to populate a WBS? We create an opportunity and then a project is created. Once the customer is ready for a quote an estimate is generated from the opportunity.

We'd like the items from the Estimate to auto-populate the WBS on the project.

I tried creating a workflow to create the Project Tasks (followed SA 67926) but this doesn't seem to be working as I keep getting an error that the customer reference is invalid.
