Force Unique Names for Projects

Is there a way to require a unique name for the Project Record? We have Auto-Generated numbering enabled, but when users search the title… they are getting multiple results since duplicates are "allowed" by the system currently.

Example:
123 Test Project
124 Test Project
125 Test Project

Ideally, I want to force my users to enter a unique value as the Name (Title) so it would be more recognizable in searches or lists.
