Thanks again for your help - but this is not working for me. I did this and it does not change the problem – I even went in and reposted the receipts and it still puts them in as an expense.

Also you said "With partial receipts, the landed cost accrued expense is only partially washed out by each receipt" That does not appear to be the case. With partial recepts each receipt has its own landed costs and those dont wash out - they stay in the income statement

Quick update on this. It is currently in limbo as NS debates if it is an issue or not. I dont see how it cant be an issue if since it clearly results in incorect period accounting data. But bad accounting data I guess is not all that is required for an issue?

I agree. We have landed costs working now, but it is a pain, and we spent 6 months and spoke to easily 10 tech support reps who had no idea how to use it - only a post on this forum helped us learn how it works. It should be easy - add the fields to the po receipt at any time

We have had several conversations by phone with support about it and have been told we are not alone with the problem. It is S2 - Urgent and they say they cant move it up higher.

Well - I guess I am just lost then as all support will say now is that it is already at a high priority. I don't see why it should take several months to address I high priority issue that is creating clear accounting errors. I dont have the time to export it all to excel so I may just have to pick one of the wrong answer…

Not sure what you mean by "using the screen". If you mean the pay sales tax function - that is what we are using to actually pay - figuring out the right amount is the problem. Thanks though.

I just found this topic while trying to figure out how to amortize an expense. Am I right in assuming that this common accounting need is only available to me if I buy an extra module for revenue recognition (which I dont need to amortize)?

how do you normally handle charge backs? We have an expense account called "chargebacks bad credit" that we use for chargebacks. I never void the original invoice. I would just credit/debit it for the chargeback and the amount the customer ended up paying and leave the old transaction intact.

It turned out that it did work but was confusing. the form will create new individuals but it puts the individuals name in the company field of the case form making it look like it does not create individuals.

In setup --> General Preferences default customer is individual. fields are company name, website, first name, last name, email, the title and title the message field, and the basic address fields. Works fine when i have it set to create companies, does not work when i deslect create as company.

Thanks all. When I started other ways of mass deleting I ran into the problem of too many having child records - so what would really help then is a way to make a selection inactive based on search.

Netsuite Limited huh - funny how my sales person did not mention that last year when we came within days of giving up and moving to NS small business even though that would have meant a complete reimplementation.

My thought here is that I have a related item that is not selling well and I want to give a discount on it to those who either buy a the other item or have a large order.

I had the same problem. The answer I got was that I had to contact my salesperson and pay to have the feature removed as it was extra programming or some such nonsense.

Im going to try the bookmarks thing. But now I cant merge any duplicates in the mass merge - I get the 10 max records error no matter how few I try
