This is a bummer! :( I just ordered a new MacBook Air, and tested NS 2010.1 before I ordered. It worked fine. Confirmed. NS 2010.2 Rich Text Editor is broken on the latest Mac, the MacBook Air with OS X Ver 10.6.4, using Safari 5.0.2 (6533.18.5).

I second this request. No drop-down list towards to the top of the page should ever expand upwards. This is Web Design 101 that was taught 10 years ago. Maybe they forgot.

I'm using IE8 and G/L Impact shows up under the More Actions drop-down menu in the upper right portion of the screen.

There are other issues with running NetSuite on the iPad Safari:

Can NOT enter or add to any rich text boxes
Since there is no [TAB] key on the iPad, entering data or selecting from a long list, and moving between fields on line item lists (like sales orders, invoices, etc) is very difficult.

We…

Hi Elliott, Are there specific link(s) from the More Actions menu that you need right click to work for. Thanks Ken Ken, We should be able to open any link into either a new Browser tab, or a new window. It is also confusing and very frustrating when NS opens popup windows for records, like from the Customer record when…

. . . any chance you could add a field for the custom Category when you're customizing/creating a new report so that it's easy to keep them organized? It would also be helpful on saved searches. That's a GREAT idea! :D File an ER and I'll vote for it!

Steve, First of all, I completely agree -- the window size is way too small. But I don't think this is a change for 2010.2. It's always been like that. IMO, NetSuite needs to overhaul all of their pop-up selection windows to make the default to a much larger size, and to be re-sizable (with memory).

Sorry Steve, as best I can tell the answer is NO on all counts. :( To bad. I also would like to have seen all of these enhancements.

I have been working for 4 days to get my custom transaction forms to load in the release preview account with very little success. Every custom transaction form in our account is broke. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this the same issue as 2010.2 DEFECT: Form Upgrade Process is Broken ? Are you able to upgrade or…

Evan, A number of users have pointed out significant problems with the Create New icons:

The icons are not very distinct -- it is hard to tell one from another
They are 2D, black & white (2010.1 is color, 3D)
Since there is no text, it now takes extra effort to carefully scroll over each and every icon to…

If we are to provide the transfer price on the packing slip, will this meet the needs? Since the system provides the ability to create multiple fulfillment against a transfer order, it could be more effective if we provide this value on a document that is shipment specific. Thanks. Peter Peter, It would be most helpful if…

Rumor has it that this change has been made (adding option for text), and will be released with the formal 2010.2 releases. Time will tell . . . ;)

As Bill C mentioned, you can find a button labeled "Import - CSV" on the Fulfill Orders page found under Transactions > Sales > Fulfill Orders. This is good news, but it is confusing. Why doesn't "Item Fulfillment" show up as a Record Type under Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records ? At a bare minimum…

I need some help logging on with full privileges, otherwise, I'm not going to be able to test and train on this upgrade. I think your choices are:

Someone from your company who has the Administrator role needs to login to the Preview account, and change your Role.
The primary user who ordered your NetSuite…

I agree the release process is problematic. We booked a trip overseas for our technical staff so we could all attend a conference. We booked it months ago. Then, about 60 days before the trip, we learn that Netsuite will be upgrading up while we are all in the air.. SaaS (Software as a Service) has many great benefits!…

Confirmation: Release Preview is available starting on the day you are scheduled for. Just logged in to the Release Preview of our account. The Release Preview period started today. Looks very cool!

That being said, there are lots of bugs/defects that need resolving too - take the random field naming in Saved Searches and Reports as just one example. It's a major time waster. This wastes major time, hinders effective use of reporting, and keeps many/most users from ever making an significant customizations to reports…

Here is an idea you can try. I have NOT tested it so it may not work. Create a custom transaction body field and apply only to Purchase Orders. You can name it "Customer PO", or whatever you like. Add this field to the PO form you send to your supplier.

Type: Free-form text
Sourcing and Filtering tab
…

When I started this thread over a year ago, I had high hopes for the iPad. While the iPad is a great tool and does lots of thing very well, some in a very unique way, it is just not designed for serious business use. I was among the first to buy the original iPad and I tried for months to make it work in a light business…

Safari is supported and I use it practically all day, every day with NetSuite. What kinds of issues are you seeing?.. Malin, here's a Safari issue just posted: Safari strips line breaks from Item Description?

Safari is supported and I use it practically all day, every day with NetSuite. What kinds of issues are you seeing?. . . Malin, that's good to hear. I believe the last time I tested Safari on WinXP, the rich-text boxes were not properly sized. If you do a search on "Safari" in this UG, you will find a number of issues…

Was anyone able to access the pdf of the release notes? I click the link and it takes me to the help center and the 2009.2 release notes. I don't think there will be any PDF files of the release notes this year. In previous years the content of the PDF was always significantly behind the Online Help, so the PDF wasn't…

The sandbox is the ideal place to test this kind of migration. . . . Fred, I would like to better understand your rationale for this -- perhaps I am missing something. The Release Preview is a copy of your Production account upgraded to the software of the new release, 2010.1 in this case. The main purpose of testing the…

Malin, Now that the issues with Safari are well documented, and the iPad has been out for about 4 months, is NetSuite going to address/fix the issues with Safari so that we can run NetSuite on the iPad?
-
Is that everyone is on vacation and the load is light or did NetSuite add some hardware???? It's so fast, this is amazing! NetSuite: Did you change anything that would make the system 2x (or more) faster? I don't know Steve, I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking not many people are using NS at 1:00 in the morning. :D…

Its just a giant iPhone.
That's exactly what it is ;)
How do you know? The product has not even shipped yet? Also, it doesn't make or receive phone calls. The online product info would suggest quite the contrary, but I'll reserve my final judgment until I've actually used one, and read…

All I see is the Release Notes in the Help system. Is there supposed to be more?
-
Guys, I hate to throw cold water on this, but it is most likely that NS has already frozen the changes/new features for 2010.1, which is due to be released within a month or two. Maybe your requests can be applied to 2010.2. Good luck.

I thought a major reason a transfer process exists is to track the stuff-ups, theft and breakage... how are we going to do it without the receiver being able to edit the received qty's? I think perhaps you are confusing these two functions:

Inventory Adjustments -- adjust NS inventory count to match actual…
