Angela: Do you have manuals/resources/'experiences document' for webstore setup? I would be really grateful if you can help. Please send them to me at: get2ceegee@gmail.com Thanks. Mediaone, Angela is no longer in the User Group. In any case, NetSuite has stated that all official…

When we were looking at options we flew to San Mateo and spent two days at our own cost working with Netsuite staff to make sure that the product could do all the things that were promised. We got to talk with our sales rep, an implementation person, the CFO, and an engineer. It was most definately worth the cost. I…

No better example than having to pay extra for training- what doesn't come with instructions these days? even my new BBQ had instructions in five languages. Great point! At the prices NS is charging, they should provide at least a full set of training via WebEx for one person for every 25 user licenses. Classroom training…

We got 29 responses to our NS user opinion poll. I posted the results on my NS blog at... http://netsuite.wordpress.com/ farrago, I really like your survey, and the presentation of results (except for the small fonts). However, the sample size of 29 is way too small to be statistically significant -- meaning we can't…

In the next update inactive items will be excluded. Thanks, -e Evan, Do you mean the next major release (2009.2) or something sooner?
-
I am asking whether havign a checkbox on the generate price lists page to optionally exclude any items where the customer's price level is base price would handle this use case. I still not sure what "where the customer's price level is base price" means, but if you mean that if the customer's price level is empty/null for…
-
Would a checkbox that says "exclude base prices" work? That would exclude all items for which the customer's price level is base price (presumably because there is no price at the appropriate price level). Evan, can you please clarify? I'm not sure which use-case you are addressing here. Thanks.

Jim - Thanks for the comments. You're quite welcome. I'm interested in how you would use the customer join. You would actually put customer fields in the results, on each row? Or you want them in the header of the PDF or Excel file somehow? We need the Customer and Sales rep data for "header" data to provide the email/fax…

We have something up and running for 2009.1. I thought I would describe it to get any feedback. The guts of generating price lists will be a Pricing Search, that searches the pricing tables. The idea is to make it as flexible as possible using the flexibility of search. It has a join to item search so that any info from…

The list of items can be filtered but there isn't a specific filter for having a price at a particular (or the customer's) price level. So, if I understand you correctly, this means that we still will not be able to produce a price list of just those items a Customer is interested in, correct? Our client has over 2,000…

OK, I found an existing ER: #133310 -- Ability to Print Price List for Customers Here is what I propose for the requirements for this ER. Please comment on this list to add your agreement or suggestions.

Output Price List (i.e., prices specific for a given customer) as HTML, PDF, email, fax.
Output either…

We will monitor usage of the generate price lists feature. If people are having problems because they can't filter to the proper items, we will revisit filtering options. Thanks, -e I guess this means we will have to develop outside of NetSuite what NetSuite can't do internally.
-
Please vote for this ER (#133310)! It currently has only 8 votes.
-
Evan, Thanks again for giving us Price Lists. However there are still a few very important, essential features that are needed:

Either remove the EMail button, or make it work like the Create New EMail which displays the standard popup window to compose the email.
Provide the ability to mass email Price…

As you can see, the inventory is listed based on a custom item field "item category" that is hidden and only used for filtering and sorting into sections. Within each section there are more sorting fields to put things in the order we want them to appear. Will Version 1 have a similar sorting features? We have a very…

It's hard to believe, but this ER has ONLY 25 votes as of 9/16/08. I have to believe that many, many NetSuite customers need and would benefit from this ER. But NetSuite development is driven by ER votes. We all need to spread the word to vote for ER# 133310 -- Ability to Print Price List for Customers.

Abby, I hope you have voted for ER# 133310. We're up to 21 votes and counting. But we need more votes!!

Just received this notice from NetSuite: Issue Number 115945 Type Enhancement Severity S3 - Important Status Pending Release Release Target 2Q 2009 Major Release ________________________________________ Abstract: Unable to pull Group Pricing based on Pricing Level information when creating custom customer search: Lists >…

In 2009.1 we will have both a basic price list functionality and a pricing search. The former can print or email (in inline or Excel format) a price list to any number of customers. The format will be similar to a statement with a header that includes the company logo or name, customer address, date, disclaimer, etc.…

My point is: We couldn't implement what you are looking for in NetSuite without customizing the hell out of it and even then getting nice forms was impossible. sklett, Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you try using a customized Purchase Order as the Production Order, where the "vendor" is the plant? This is just an…

With oil prices continuing to rise, it generates the requirement for more frequent price changes, and thus the need to issue a revised price list to customers. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Looks like we need an ER for this. I'll do a quick search to see if I can find anything.

I've been using custom records to track all my quotas. This gives us the flexibility to add additional information for each month goal to include for instance total # of POD's, etc. Long Lam, This sounds very interesting. Are you able to integrate this with the sales reports and forecasting? Best Regards, JMU
-
I am wondering how people are using quotas. Jon, Based on the lack of response from other users it appears that few people are using quotas. I guess this explains why NetSuite has allowed erroneous quota calculations to go on for such a long time. On the other hand, maybe few people use it becuase of all the problems with…

Each item we manufacture is set up as a Serialized Assembly Item which contains components including normal Inventory Items, other (sub)Assembly Items, and Service Items. As we normally build to order, we need to run an Assembly Build transaction to create stock of the finished good and flush the component items out of…

Pardon my being blunt, but the current Quota implementaion in NetSuite is a joke, next to useless. Please take a look at an ERROR report I filed almost a year ago: Error in Quota KPI Calculation https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=1956 I can't believe that NetSuite would allow erronous calculations to go…

I have gone back to the team and we are suspending the auto-refresh plan. We are aiming to have on-demand cloning onto the sandbox, using a staging area. This way you will be able to clone the latest data (from the previous evening) whenever you want. We will roll out this plan over the next couple of months. Pricing is…

It relies on copying entire databases at once. We currently do not see a good way of making it on demand in a cost effective way. Evan, thanks for joining the discussion. Please read our posts carefully -- we are NOT asking for an "on demand" refresh. The MAIN objection is this automatic monthly refresh that over-writes…

By creating a bundle of your customizations, you can save it off - similar to a source control - and then install back in after the refresh. SuiteBundler will be part of our Q2 2007 release. Mini, thanks for getting involved in this discussion. However, your approach is still not acceptable. Two major problems:
…

Based on these comments, we are definitely going to go back and try to work somethign out. We may be able to come up with something clever. Evan, Thanks for taking a fresh look. I have no doubt that your clever developers can come up with an innovative approach. One final request: Please don't terminate existing clones…

We have to copy entire databases at a time to make this cost effective. It is the difference between doing a file copy and sql operations. Evan, OK, I understand what you are saying, and have no doubt that it is faster/cheaper to copy and entire DB file than it is to copy a subset of a DB. But I'm now confused. If my…
