Thanks Valerie and Darren. Your help and support is much appreciated. You guys have made some major improvements over the last year. Keep up the great work!

Well said Ray -- I agree 100%!

Well, here it is almost a year later (see below), and no real progress has been made on improving the PO routing workflow in NetSuite. IMO, this continues to be a major hole in the NetSuite product. There are many, many threads and posts by many customers requesting improvements. There are a number of ERs related to POs…

Here is a recent example of why it is so important to publish the NEW documentation BEFORE the software is released. From Adding Attachments to Messages - NetSuite: Linda - I am very sorry for the trouble this change is causing you. The main reason we made the change is many accounts were finding that the attachments to…

When the new version is published (probably in a couple of weeks), this PDF / object heading issue should be resolved. Thanks, Kate Kate, Valerie has promised about a month ago that all the 2007 docs would be updated by Aug 24. Then she said it was delayed a day or two, but should be release by 8/27. But, we haven't seen…

Valerie, Thanks for your thoughtful response to my (overly) long post. :) So, on reflection, it would seem that we are not that far apart. It is good to hear that you have most, if not all, of my concerns to be dealt with on your roadmap. I also realize that other users may have a different view on the documetation, and…

Kate, Here is a good example of a best practice or suggested procedure that is a good candidate for the PDF on Accounting. It could also be included directly in the Online Help, or a ref/link provided to the PDF. How to handle payment in advance for purchases? Here's the solutiion provided by Angela, and seconded by Nick…

Our schedule is to incorporate our changes on a bi-weekly basis. (However, during the latest release of our product, the 2007.0 release, there have been many times when we have rolled in changes on a weekly basis.) So I think the issue is what is the best way to identify the material that has been changed/added. Kate,…

Valerie, Thanks for the reply. Let me start at the top and answer your questions: 1. No, each Add-On does not have its own Guide and we do not have plans to create separate guides for Add-Ons at this time. The material we have on Advanced Jobs/Project Tracking/Accounting is in the Help Center as help topics (and you have…

Many thanks Valerie. You have been most accomodating to implement many, many of our requests and suggestions. :D We can all tell that the documentation team has been hard at work this year, and major improvements have been made.

Angela, Great thead! I agree with all your comments. I was having the same problem of "Connection failed" on an intermittent basis. After talking with support, here's what we figured out to resolve this problem. It's aproblem with Browser security. Here's how to change Internet Explorer 7 (IE7):
1. Go to…

use the posting filter. Thanks, -e Evan, I assume by setting Posting = yes ? Could you please provide a definition of Posting ? I checked the Help system but didn't find anything. I can guess what it should mean, but I'd rather know for sure. How is this different for Journals from using Status is not Journal:Pending…

All of the User Guides except the Customization Guide have now been updated for the 2007.0.x release and are included in the Help Center as of August 28, 2007. Valerie, I can't seem to find the guide for Advanced Job/Project Tracking/Accounting (AJT), which is an optional Add-on. I searched the Accounting guide and the…

(BTW, you'll be able to quickly view the changes/additions that have been made to ALL material by checking out the "Documentation Revision Log." Each writer will be providing information on the topics/PDFs/release note items that have been updated with each new Help build. The revision log will be in the Additional…

Luke, I'm still getting this same error 1-1/2 months after reporting. It occurs on all computers I have used. All running IE7. This makes selecting the very nice incremental-search popup unusable. When will this be fixed?

I think maybe this "Full" csv export is a marketing feature.

Thanks Luke! That was very quick! :)

Jim - I feel your pain in terms of downloading PDFs and not wanting to go back to re-download / print them again two weeks later. That would certainly be a waste of paper for you and your team. Just for my own knowledge, can you tell me which PDFs you refer to the most? Also, this is more of a usability question, but do…

Great, great software for screen captures: SnagIt (by TechSmith) I can second this, and agree completely. I've found none better, none easier to use. Very intuitive. Price is very low.
-
Sorry, folks, but you'll have to scrap this one for the time being, as I just found out that this search picks up unapproved journal entries for the specified bank account. Cecelia, I think you should be able to add a filter for Status is not Journal:Pending Approval

Anyway, in the course of testing various iterations of this saved search to provide Support with more info, I discovered something very interesting. Using the Accountant role, there is a standard KPI called "Total Bank Balance", which shows the sum of all bank account balances! I'm wondering why this isn't standard for all…

So, by setting a filter of Posting = yes, the search would include only those transactions which were actually posted to a G/L account, correct? Please add this info to your Help system.

Here's an thread that you might consider for including in the Online Help and Guides as a "Best Practice on Search Engine Optimization":
Search Engine Optimization Best Practices / SEO
. . . I've had detailed steps typed up, selected all the text and clicked the "bullet list" only to have this garbage 10 year software delete it all. . . Steve, I understand your frustration. I've experienced the same basic behavior using FireFox with NetSuite Rich Text boxes. I really like FF but had to switch back to IE…

This problem is further exacerbated because these new 2010.1 forums/threads will not permit subscriptions. When attempting to subscribe, I get the following error msg: Sorry! This forum is not accepting new posts.

The "Sales / Marketing / Support & Service" forum currently has the following sub-forums:

Calendar/Activities
Campaigns/Bulk Merge
Email templates
Online forums
Rules & Territories
Outlook Integration
Case/Issue management is a huge feature of NetSuite that is difficult to fully understand,…

I strongly agree -- the forum search must be changed to allow 3-char words. There are many 3-char words and acronyms, like "ERP" :D, that we need to search for.
-
I get the same result -- no hits. Search for "manuf" returns one thread.

This happened again. It looks like the system is sending out an email from the NetSuite email address of the customer who originally entered the enhancement request - which is something that I'm sure the 'sending' customers won't appreciate. And this time I also noticed that our NS account number is in the 'To' line of the…

1) Generally enhancement abstracts are edited by PM or the development team to make them more general so multiple cases can be combined. This greatly increases the chance they will be addressed. Evan, I'm not sure that you have really addressed Cecelia's concern: Her ER case was either misstated or attached to the wrong…
