It is just strange how netsuite does not show and audit trail of deleted records or a restore function. I know that in Salesforce.com there was a recycle bin for restoring records. I also miss this a lot

Yep, I have been seeing this for several days, it seems to be since the removed the "search" box from the leftnav that allowed access to the wrong things. I would be very impressed if it was available as a bundle when it's working again.
