Its pretty simple Lists>Website>Tabs>New Presentation Tab Under the audience tab you can make it visible to only certain types. I think your best bet would be to create a dynamic group based on a saved search for the criteria that you need and make the tab visible to only that group.

Yes you can. Setup>Users/Roles>View login audit trail that will give you their log in times. give them a survery to fill in for products. Or just look at their purchase history.

You can add multiples for each category in your drop down. eg - spoons page 1 spoons page 2 spoons page 3 just append the url with the range to include the correct products. eg. ?range=49,96 = list products 49 to 96

By website filtering I mean allowing the customer to drilldown based upon product attributes. Some people call it layered navigation. It should be as easy as appending &nlfieldname=<NLENTITYID> to the url, whereby &nlfieldname is the field name of the field you are trying to populate. We have done this on email response requests before and it worked like a charm.
