NS, has any progress been made toward adding an upload feature for the webstore? We make signs and would like an upload button for customer's art. It would be awsome if it could be made so that the customer uploaded their art as a mandatory requirement before adding the custom item to the shopping cart and then NS made a…

NetSuite isn't a web-hosting company. They are an ERP company with integrated ecommerce. Due to the mission-criticality of the data, they have chosen to block unauthenticated file uploads. I know it's aggravating but I sleep better knowing that they have. No uploads makes it one significant step harder for someone to…

NetSuite doesn't want to be GoDaddy. You get my point. They also aren't a merchant bank service, but they facilitate our connectivity to such services as PayPal and CyberSource. They aren't an online auction company, but they facilitate our connectivity to such services as Ebay. So, why not facilitate our connectivity to…

We could also use that feature. Has anyone entered an enhancement? It could have it in the check-out or at the item level. It would be cool if it asked for the art when adding the item to the cart (giving custom the option to skip the art upload). If they do upload art when adding the item, it would need to assign a…

Thanks for the tip. I will turn it off. so, you think NS should make it like this... www.ourdomain/shoes/womens_shoes/red_pumps and not just giving us the ability to do this... www.ourdomain/red_pumps so, having the item's name in the URL helps only as long as it follows a path or hierarchy and not if they are all just…

Jack, thanks for being the guinea pig on the descriptive URLs. I want to use this feature, but want to know that the bugs are removed before I activate the feature. There was a earlier post about having descriptive categories included in the item's URL. I noticed that some big sites (like EBAY) just use descriptive words…

The way "Yahooo store" worked was that it would put 10 in the cart (if 10 was set as the minimum) even if the customer type "3" and clicked on "add to cart". So, it automatically put in the minimum and if they tried to lower it (in the cart); it just wouldn't take any entry under the minimum amount. -Tom

Try it on a Macintosh! I added a item to the cart. I added ONE item and the item was set to minimum of 10. No warning came up and it DID accept the quantity below the minimum. Later I when to checkout and the checkout didn't work. I thought...HHmmm... "v11 must have broke the check-out". I removed the item that was under…

> We will either disable the continue button until the right quantity > is entered, or present a pop-up telling the user what the minimum > quantity is. I recommend the Yahoo store method. Too many people use pop-up blockers and will just think our store is broken. Also, allowing it to happen (quantities lower than what…

Jeffrey, NS, should offer you free phone support as pay for doing the in-depth beta testing and reporting of the results. I passed on the NS-eBay for two reasons. 1. I don't want to pay just to be a NS guinea pig anymore. 2. I could practically hire someone to manually build and run and maintain an eBay store and manually…

I was told by NS that they changed from category links that WERE like... /s.nl/c.123456/sc.2/category.162/.f to then new category links that WERE like... /s.nl/sc.2/category.162/.f BECAUSE the number that was dropped from the URL ("123456" in the sample above) was the NS user's NS account ID and they figured that having…

Baruch, sounds like your on it. As long as the pop-ups aren't blocked and are visible ...it will be great. I'm just glad that the current solution is only temporary. Any ETA on the new way that you mentioned? T
-
Both the URLs for the categories and the URLs for item details has changed. The good news is that the old URLs redirect to the same page in the NEW URL scheme, but I am still going to change all of my PPC marketing to the new URLs (when we get time). Are they done changing the URLs? Are the URLs going to stay as they are…

I need to edit my post, but I guess we can't in this group. I meant to say "I just realized that you weren't", but I said "I just realized that you were" in that last post. Not being able to edit posts will make this group confusing to read.

They made a big mistake making it a global setting (if you ask me). To have ANY functionality for us, it should have been it the layouts. It should have been in Set-up> website > Layouts I just realized that you were talking about ITEM image widths. Well, if you need that NEW variable ...it isn't at "Set-up> website >…

We're being updated on Friday the 13th. Scary.

Bill or NetSuiet, Could Bill's solution for exporting drop-ship PO's by either CSV or XML offered as a Bundle in the SuiteSource Repository? Thanks T

Any new options for CSV exports of individual purchase orders? T

When reporting on sales of any one inventory item. We're baffled by kit sales. Inventory Item = Widget A (sold individually) Then, we have... Kit item (Widget B) = 5 pack of widget A Kit item (Widget C) = 10 pack of widget A How can we do a report showing the number of Widget A units sold? I can make it find all sales of…

Interested as well since iCharts went away. Tried the Domo demo. Couldn't get their NS connector to work. Has anyone got past that hurdle with Domo?

Does it sent it twice when the fulfillment has TWO tracking numbers and one time when it has one tracking number? That is an issue that we had doing saved search fulfillment emails. T

Could you make a custom field that gets the internal id of the sales order and appends it to this "https://system.netsuite.com/app/accounting/transactions/salesord.nl?id=" ? My problem there a mention of a "field that gets the internal id of the sales order". Such a field isn't available as an "entity field" and yet we…

I've sent accounts like post #1 in this thread to NetSuite. The response i get... "I'm glad to hear that you figured it out. Let us know if you actually have an unanswered question that we can help you with.". The point of a broken interface falls on deaf ears. T
-
It concerns me that we're tied to the NetSuite platform and they're a company that doesn't notice (or publicly acknowledged) that such an important feature is so terribly broken. Reporting seems like it would be important to most businesses. Interface design seems like it would be important to most enterprise solution…

Mike, did you figure out the 1st formula? If so, could you post it here? Thanks, Tom

Got it. I set "Component Of" to "is any of" -none-. Thanks, T

Thanks Evan, I've asked for an item dashboard in the past. Maybe if NetSuite ever adds one, some sales data could be held in the item records. It wouldn't need to be real-time data. It could be calculated weekly on a schedule ..like NS does with the inventory auto-caclulated data such as "demand levels". I wonder if there…
-
Thanks Kelly Izer. One of the criteria (when gathering data for the past 30 days) was to throw out the highest 2 days (to eliminate fluke data) and average the other 28 days sales. It should do the same for the "same period last year" data. This keeps this report from just finding huge orders that are anomalies. We don't…
-
Mass updates don't support grouping/summarizing of results, so I doubt you'd be able to get sales results for items through it. However, it could definitely be done using a scheduled script that runs periodically, calculates the values by running scripted searches and updates the Item records accordingly. Email me if this…

I found a NS developer that will do this for a few grand. They'll make NS script that runs on a weekly schedule and grabs all sales data and store that data in custom fields held in each of the item records. So, each item might have 4 new fields like... "Sales total for previous 12 months" and "Sales total for 12 months…
