  • It hasn't been too bad lately. NS runs a little slower than without it turned on... but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. It was also aggravated by general NS slowness at the time that I reported the issue. -Tom
  • Yes. Ours is also at the bottom. The loading icon spins at the top of the browser window until the timeline has finished building the related record portlet. The problem is that we can't edit the transaction until the record is fully loaded (without having issues). So, even if it is at the bottom... it slows us down. Tom
  • We only have one ongoing complaint about the "transaction timeline". It seems to be slowing down NS transaction page loads quite a bit. Has anyone else noticed this? And yes, I have my user settings set to load with the timeline collapsed, but it often ignores that setting and loads open. I use chrome on a mac.
  • It is less risky with one-login ...from my understanding. No subs actually know the netSuite credentials when using one-login. They only know their specific one-login credentials and the NS credentials are never revealed to them. How is that riskier than giving them our NS username and password? The advantage is that we…
  • We want to share one login between several subs that rarely access our site. For that we use http://www.onelogin.com We're new to 1 login. Has anyone found a way to make it work with the security questions? Do you make a set of generic security question answers and then share those answers with your 1 login users? -Tom
  • BergerUSA, A key clause = "...or for any other reason deemed necessary". I see you've only got 4 posts. That explains the surprised tone that I detected. NS can and will delete posts. NS can and will ban you. So, if you value the data in here, you'll cow down to the great and powerful Oz.
  • Does dropbox and box let you serve up the images for webstore items or are they just for email attachments and such? T
  • The NetSuite Yammer integration instructions completely ignore one of the preference fields. It never mentions the NetSuite field labeled "Yammer System User Email". Is that field for the Yammer assigned ourcompany@yammer.com email ? Is that field for our myName@ourcompany.com email that I use to log into Yammer? -Tom
  • Upon my request, NS answered the question again. Given Answer = the yourName@YourCompany.com email address that you use to log into Yammer? IT IS NOT the YourCompany@yammer.com email address that Yammer provides users with.
  • I really hate asking questions to NS support. They usually don't read the question. I asked this... The NetSuite Yammer integration instructions completely ignore one of the preference fields. It never mentions the NetSuite field labeled "Yammer System User Email". Is that field for the Yammer assigned…
  • I just tried the beta version of 2012.2. YES, the "rolling average" or "trend line" has been fixed and now it is actually a true rolling average. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Now, I set the averaging units to the max (10 units) and the line accurately shows me if the trend is going upwards or downwards and to what degree. Previously…
  • Set Up->Customization->Install Bundle Then filter by Location = Repository Then filter by whatever Keyword will find the bundle that you want. When it becomes available, that is where you'll most likely find it. That is where other NetSuite built public bundles are housed. -T
  • This was posted by a NS employee in another thread...: Reference Checkout is available as 'limited beta' on March 29th. Please contact your account manager or send me an email directly at yoberoi@netsuite.com to get access to the feature. It will be released out of Beta on 30th April 2012.
  • Last time I looked, it said "Status = Available in March", so i'd think that it would be out by this Saturday ..right? -Tom
  • NetSuite, is there an ETA on the one-page checkout bundle? Tom
  • Status = "Available in March". My understanding is that it isn't available yet. -Tom
  • Is everyone else getting sales coming through on their e-commerce sites normally? We're getting sales though our web-store. Not sure if the count is off, but there are sales none-the-less. -T
  • When got a "host error" message when attempting to charging some credit cards today. I'm not sure that this is related to our Friday upgrade. T
  • This might be specific to your NS account or your browser. We were upgraded on Friday and I tested our web-store and din't encounter the behavior that you've described. Have you tried from a different web browser and have you cleared your browser's cache before testing? T
  • Thank you very much Johanne! You seem to have a lot of knowledge of the Advanced Promotions feature. Could you also shed some light on this question... I'm running into two problems trying to create free shipping on a group of items with the same specified preferred vendor. I used advanced promotions (for item-based…
  • #1. It gives free shipping even when one item from acme widgets and one item from Dunder Mifflin are in the cart together. How can I make the free shipping NOT apply when items not included in the saved search are in the cart together? Someone elsewhere said: This is a known issue with the "free shipping" option. You can…
  • Also, "single use code" seems to = "one use per-code ...period". Is there also another type of "single use promotion code" with only one use per company? So, all customers can share the same coupon code, but each customer can only use that code one time.
  • I'm running into two problems trying to create free shipping on a group of items with the same specified preferred vendor. I used advanced promotions (for item-based promotions) and set it to apply to a saved search. The saved search = items with vendor=acme widgets. On the advanced promotions "discount tab" I made a zero…
  • I agree with this... Just need freight costing (in addition to pricing for proper transaction level P&L of freight) and new website templating/ecommerce and netsuite can really show its potential! ...but I don't agree that this is a great release as I still see nothing much for added ecommerce features. NS, look at the…
  • After 8 hours of using FireFox4, I switched back to Safari and I'll stay with Safari for now. FireFox4 was quick in initial page loading, but hung on occasion when switching tabs or scrolling quickly. It is hard to explain, but Safari just runs a little better on my mac. -T
  • We'll use the new "related items" template feature. Yes, they're heading in the right direction. I just hope they realize that the speed at which they're heading in that direction will continue putting them (and us) further behind the ecommerce competition. T
  • blitzsport, what e-commerce feature are you excited about? The "Keep your domain name during checkout" is an add-on. So, you'll pay extra for that feature. That is what it says here... http://www.netsuite.com/portal/landing/2011-1/main.shtml We don't use CyberSource or Merchant e-Solutions, so that eliminates two features…
  • The 2011.1 release is supposed to have descriptive URLs that end in JPG or GIF. see post #100 at ... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=14504&page=10
  • It also has security issues. See.... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=24752 We're about to switch back to the old "un-extended cart". Too bad though; the "Extended" cart had features that we've needed for a long time. Also, the sales tax issue is NOT fixed. It will make it look like you'll be charging…
  • In our case, it was either a short run problem or a problem with only one item. The item was a matrix item and set to "taxable". We edited the parent item and made it not-taxable and then set it back to taxable and applied the changes to the matrix children. Then the item worked properly and charged sales tax. -T
